This tranquil open space which borders the River Wey incorporates a rich variety of wildlife habitats with wetland marsh at its core. Fen, reedbeds, marsh, ditches, streams and pools dominate, whilst woodlands of willow, alder, hawthorn and oak provide height and shelter. A boardwalk provides all year round access through the wet meadow.
In 2024 Green Angels is running a Woodland and Meadow Wildlife Identification course, including invasive species.

Thank you for your welcoming introduction to Hassall Green Nature Reserve and for explaining all the interesting and inclusive activities which are provided there.
