Meet the team

We’re a friendly team working together to support you throughout your Green Angels journey.

Carolyn Hassall

Project Manager – Green Angels

Hello! I’ve been part of the Green Angels programme since it began in 2013. What started as a two‑year pilot at Liverpool Festival Gardens has grown into a programme reaching communities across England.

I’m responsible for the planning, development, and overall delivery of Green Angels, working closely with colleagues across the Land Trust. Whenever I can, I love joining in with practical sessions and seeing the difference we can make together.

Green Angels brings together practical skills, wellbeing, and connection to nature and I hope you enjoy being part of it!

Rebecca Mooney

Green Angels Project Officer

Hi everyone, I’ve been working on the Green Angels project since 2021. I lead on the organisation, planning, and delivery of the programme at Hassall Green Nature Reserve.

You’ll often see me supporting sessions alongside our trainers, and I’m always happy to answer any questions about courses or wider opportunities.

I’m looking forward to meeting you!

Emma Sayers

Green Angels Project Coordinator

Hello! I joined the Green Angels programme in May 2025.

I support the planning and administration of projects across several sites, and I lead on promoting courses and welcoming new trainees to the programme.

If you’ve seen information about a course or recently signed up, there’s a good chance I’ve been involved behind the scenes and I’m really looking forward to welcoming you!

Thank you for your welcoming introduction to Hassall Green Nature Reserve and for explaining all the interesting and inclusive activities which are provided there. Ralph and I really enjoyed finding out about the work being done to encourage involvement in the natural world and to support local wildlife.
