This tranquil open space which borders the River Wey incorporates a rich variety of wildlife habitats with wetland marsh at its core.  Fen, reedbeds, marsh, ditches, streams and pools dominate, whilst woodlands of willow, alder, hawthorn and oak provide height and shelter.  A boardwalk provides all year round access through the wet meadow.

In 2024 Green Angels is running a Woodland and Meadow Wildlife Identification course, including invasive species.

Courses and activities we hope to deliver at this location include:

Spring Time Foraging

Woodland & Meadow wildlife Identification & invasive species

Woodland and Meadow Wildlife ID

This course will focus on woodland and meadow wildflower identification - the features of different plant families, tree ID, common invasive species ID, butterfly ID & transect training.

A very informative and friendly course learning how to walk and talk!
