The Land Trust has a number of sites in South Yorkshire which exhibit a diverse range of landscape and community characteristics.

Habitats here are made up of grassland, woodland, meadow and wetland, one park even has a climbing wall!  We maintain these and guarantee their future as public open space to enhance the local environment and provide resources for local communities, through recreational and educational activities and events.

Green Angels focuses our activities on the Land Trust’s most accessible sites in the area, which are:

  • Kiveton Community Woodland – This woodland is a natural space of remarkable diversity, providing a vast array of habitats including woodland, grassland wetland. The bird life on this part of the site is particularly impressive, especially in springtime when masses of Skylarks are present.
  • Bentley Community Woodland – Positioned in the heart of urban Doncaster there is a stunning contrast between the bustling town centre and the quiet calm of the woodland – almost as if you’ve been transported to the heart of the countryside
  • Brodsworth Community Woodland – This picturesque woodland, which spans 99-hectares, allows you to escape from the hustle and bustle of life. With its mixture of mature broadleaf woodland, large open meadows and a scenic wetland valley, Brodsworth is renowned for its diverse array of wildlife.
