Green Angels is the Land Trust’s award winning FREE environmental training programme, which is delivered on a number of our sites across the country. It is an exciting training opportunity with an environmental focus, giving you the chance to learn new skills, change your future prospects and make a difference in your community. Our FREE courses cover subjects such as wildlife conservation, landscaping, environmental education, horticulture and more.
Open to everyone over the age of 18. Priority is given to those who live locally to the delivery site.

You can attend as many different courses as you like, but you cannot attend the same course twice
All Green Angels courses are free of charge, but can only be delivered through funding – costs the LT.
We can offer support towards travel costs in some instances. Please enquire for more details.
Details of your Green Angels contact will be provided upon enrolment, you must let them know as soon as possible if you cannot attend a session.
We work with a variety of local professional trainers in their chosen field.
Some of our sites will have access to facilities. Where toilets are not available, the course timetable is adjusted to accommodate people’s welfare.
Our courses are not accredited. However, you will receive a Green Angels certificate of attendance. Many of our Trainees find these useful for future prospects.
Green Angels courses are designed for everyone over the age of 18 so these are not suitable for children. Some of our activities are family friendly and will be advertised as such.
No previous experience is required to participate.
Green Angels offers a wide range of courses, some relaxed and some with physically strenuous elements. Trainees are able to participate in activities at their own pace and comfort. There are no expectations to take part in any elements that Trainees may find physically demanding.

Our courses vary in structure and length. Some of our courses run for 1 day a week for 4-6 weeks, but we also run 1 day workshops and guided walks. Details for each course will be publicised clearly on our website. Your Green Angels contact will be able to provide more information upon completion of the application form.
You do not need any specialist equipment to join Green Angels, although you need to be prepared for working in the great outdoors! Your Green Angels contact will provide a full kit list upon enrolment for a course.
