Hassall Green Nature Reserve is a 2 hectare site which the Land Trust opened in spring 2014. The vision is to allow it to continue to become a haven for wildlife, with its rich woodland surroundings and wildflower meadows it has the potential to attract key species to set up home in this space or use it as a resting point for onward travel.

In 2019, The Land Trust completed further improvements to the site, with a view to increasing levels of public access over the coming years.
There are currently a number of activities taking place on site through the Green Angels project. The Land Trust is encouraging more people to visit the site and take part in environmental training and other opportunities. All site activities help to improve the biodiversity and spaces for nature, as well as providing valuable conservation knowledge and skills development for our local communities.
